Androo Allen - Director

Is employed by Centex Homes, Billinghurst's Partner in Education. Androo has been involved in acting in film, television, and theatre for over 20 years mostly in Australia. Androo has directed many stage productions and has greatly appreciated being able to direct and work with the students of Billinghurst Middle School.

 

Kris Engstrom - Musical Director has been teaching music for 7 years working in Band, Orchestra and Elementary Music prior o Choir. She began her Choral directing career with the honor Choir at Sarah Winnemucca Elementary and then taught at Clayton Middle School before coming to Billinghurst. She was the Director of Nevada Opera Youth Chorus for three seasons. Kris also is a professional French Horn player and performs with the Reno Philharmonic, Nevada Opera, and the Reno Chamber Orchestra.



 

Kayla Tuso as Cinderella

Kayla likes Cinderella because she is so innocent.
Kayla's been in dance since age three. She would like to play basketball at Texas Tech, sing at Julliard, get a degree in musical theater, and live in New York. Of course!

Liza Engstrom as the Baker's wife.

Liza was a member of Talent Academy and has appeared in "La Boheme" and "Music Man." she'd like to make the Olympics in swimming and become a Broadway star.
The best thing about performing in Into The Woods is acting with friends and the feeling of accomplishment when it's over.

 

 

Ashley Lordon as Little Red Riding Hood

Ashley has performed in programs and events with Risen King Community Church and would like to become a performer on Broadway

Elisabeth Buck as the Witch

Elizabeth dances with the Reno Irish Dance Company and also takes Irish, ballrt, and musical Theater classes at Dancini Performing Arts Center. She has been in eight productions with the Tahoe Players and played "Marian" in The Music Man. She would like to perform on Broadway and hopes to become a pediatrician or opthamologist if the acting doesn't work out.

Lisa Berlemann as Rapunzel

Lisa has performed in a few church plays, 7th and 8th Honor Choir. she would like to take ballet and acting classes, learn how to play the guitar and be a lead singer in a rock band. She'd also like to star in a horror movie and complete a successful novel. Lisa feels the best part of performing is touching the audience ... and overall just feeling and/or relating to the story to the point of absolute fascination.

Kylie Adair as Jack's Mother

Kylie has performed with the Nevada Youth Opera Chorus, the Wizard of Oz. She would like to become an actress and a photographer.
"I love being able to tell my story to the audience and bring them into the story. I love just being on stage and being able to say I was in that musical, I was there.

Tati Mesfin as Cinderella's Mother

Tati hopes to graduate from the University of Washington and get a medical degree.
"I love the play Into the Woods because it's funny and I like how all the characters are somewhat connected together, even though they are from different fairy tales. The music is also wonderful."

Brianna Caldwell as Cinderella's stepmother.

Brianna has attended Talent Academy and training in ballet, tap, jazz and hip hop. She has appeared in Peter Pan, Music Man, and Taming of the Shrew. Broadway? Maybe, but sees herself as a choir or dance teacher to show kids how wonderful and important the performing arts are.

Ansley Barnard as Lucinda

Lucinda has played Oliver, Hermia, Peter Pan and participated in other school plays. She has also participated in Drama Talent Academy as Phillip Perrip in Great Expectations. She hopes to be in the Billinghurst production next year and take drama in high school. "What I like best about performing is the thrill when you go out to bow and everyone is cheering."

Vanessa Wehrkamp as Granny

Vanessa has studied dance, jazz, singing and acting and attended summer talent academy. Vanessa wants to graduate with good grades and be an amazing volleyball player. "I love the adrenalin rush you get before performances. I also enjoy working with people who love the same thing. My character is unorganized and humorous. That's why I'm happy to play that part."

Mitch Bottoset as the Narrator

Mitch has been in Talent Academy and 6th grade Honor Choir and would like to act in a professional production.
"I like the rush of speaking or singing in front of an audience."

Cody Rea as Jack

Cody has appeared in Peter Pan, Nevada Opera Youth Choir, and would like to be in a musical at Mcqueen.

"I like my character because he is always optomistic and innocent."

James Meservy as Baker

James has appeared in Cafe Night, middle school honor choir, Sarah Winnemucca Honor Choir and the darma club.

"Into the Woods has tons of the kind of humor that I love --- off the wall jokes and stuff like that."

Rod Dexter as Wolf

Rod has played Dimitri in Midsummer's Night Dream. He would like to go to college then walk across the world.

Chris Stanton as Rapunzel's Prince

Chris' band plays at parties and recently at the Christmas school dance. He'd like to get somewhere with his band, writing and sharing music with the world.
Chris finds the best thing about performing is "that I get to do what I love with my friends alongside me."

Syl Dellucchi as Cinderella's Prince

Syl also sings with a band and hopefully, out of a million garage bands, be picked and make it big by sharing our wonderful music with the world

A.J. Manuzon as Prince's Steward

A.J. had a solo with the Beatles Concert and loves to sing and act

Jimmy Jo as Cinderella's father

Jimmy would like to learn The Entertainer by Scott Joplin on the piano. He finds the best thing about Into the Woods is the chance to get in front of people and make them laugh.

Chris Fox as Milky White

Chris has studied acting, dance and has appeared in Music Man and The Taming of the Shrew.
Chris plans on being a 4.0 student through high school and become an engineer, designing thrill rides and theme parks.
"I like being in front of a huge audience and I also like to impress people and make them laugh."

Kate Ituarte as Florinda

Kate has attended Talent academy and appeared in last years musical. She would like to become a detective some day, keep up her good grades and have fun!
"The best thing about performing is the feeling you get when you're on stage. First you're nervous and have butterflies and then you hit the stage and all the fear flies away and then it becomes fun!"
