Dear Families of Billinghurst Students:
My name is Maureen Koski and I am pleased to serve as the President of Billinghurst Middle School Parent Club for the 2007/2008 school year.
The Billinghurst Parent Club is a non-profit incorporated organization and 100% of everything we raise, including our membership dues, goes back to the school each year. We purchase items that are not in the budget, but are needed by teachers, staff and students. We also support the sports programs, computer lab, student government, and yearbook club.
We have regular meetings once a month on the 1st Thursday at 5:00 p.m. at the school. Each meeting we have a teacher representative, a counselor,
and we hear from our principal, Ken Cervantes, who keeps us up to date on things going on at the school like testing, sports tryouts, and any issues that might be of interest.
By belonging to the Billinghurst Parent Club and volunteering, you are showing your child that you value their school, and by extension that you value the time they spend here.
We hope you and your child have a wonderful year at Billinghurst.
