The Science of the Truckee

For the science end of our project we hope to design a collaborative experiment where students from several middle schools will obtain samples from the Truckee at designated locations and test for the following:

TDS
Nitrates
pH
Temperature
Dissolved Oxygen

It is hoped that students will be able enter that data via the internet into a continual processing database (table) from which we can test/compare against variables linked to flow rates. The internet links below provide realtime flow rate data on the Truckee River at various locations both in numerical information and graphic form. Our data gathering locations match or approximate those gage sites providing the realtime telemetry.
